First Week Update
So, i’m three days in...
How have my first two days gone? Pretty good I think.
I’ve decided to wear both my fitness trackers to try and work round the walks with pushchair not picking up my steps thing; when i’m walking with the pushchair I put my Fitbit in my backpack so it hopefully can pick up the steps the one on my wrist can’t. I look like a bit of a div, but as it’s a bonus if I leave the house with my hair brushed since i’ve become a mummy, I don’t much care if I look odd tbh.
On Monday morning Baby N and I were at soft play with our NCT group....exhausting, but not much exercise or steps involved! I went out for a walk in the afternoon with the little one and carried my Fitbit, and wore my other fitness tracker. As I expected, there was a discrepancy of about 3000 steps between the two... no wonder I don’t seem to have been hitting my 10,000 steps for a while!
I managed to get out to a Zumba class at my gym on Monday evening. I’ve never done it before, but man was it tiring! I enjoyed it though. Going to see if I can get to it next week too. I always struggled to motivate myself to get to the gym pre baby and it’s even harder now as I have to make sure hubby can have the baby. I think Mondays might be a good night for us... let’s see if I can stick to it. I’d like to go another time in the week too, but that might be more difficult to book in as my husband works some evenings.
I ended Monday over my target on both trackers 16k/13k so pretty pleased with that!
On Tuesday we had our Tesco food delivery...hopefully can keep on track with the healthier eating.
We went to Whipsnade Zoo in the afternoon. It’s a lovely place for a walk. N loves the animals. She fell asleep in the car on the way home, so I had a brisk walk around the block with N still in her car seat once we got back...want to get those steps!
I ended Tuesday with 12k/10k on my trackers.
Not too bad a start at all,
Tesco delivery and gym already ticked off. Just need to keep on with my steps!
Wednesday has been a slower start though with N being fussy with her nap. Off to see my parents this afternoon and hopefully a long walk in the park. Let’s keep going!
